  • Recognizes and names all capital/lowercase letters of the alphabet


Phonological Awareness

  • Recognizes and produces rhyming words


Phonics and Word Recognition

  • Decodes all consonant sounds
  • Decodes CVC words in isolation

  • Uses key details to describe characters, settings, and major events in a story

  • Uses key ideas and details to ask/answer questions

  • Identify words and phrases that suggest feelings or appeals to the senses
